Parting Clouds is formally recognized as a temple organization by Zhang Mingxin the Abess at the Jian Fu Gong on Qing Cheng Mountain. As a group we aim to focus our approach toward the study and practice of Daoism as honestly and authentically as is possible for western students and has been granted the ability to ordain priests outside China. We teach from the Long Men Quan Zhen (Dragon Gate Complete Perfection) tradition. We pass on legitimate studies based on personal teaching and textual study from the different lineages that we are officially ordained into.

We have the mindset that we are a family with members located in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Scotland, France, Russia, and Australia. In this family we work together to further advance ourselves and each other in the study and practices of Daoism. Our goal is for everyone to apply Daoist philosophy and practices to their lives in the best way possible for them.

As a genuine lineage through several different teachers we do our best to expose students to as much quality teaching as we can. Different students will take these teachings to different levels. Some will study, learn, and apply Daoism to their lives and some will choose to work toward personal ordination as a Daoist priest. It is different for everyone and neither path is a requirement of anyone in the Parting Clouds family.
